As I noted in my latest newsletter, this was a year to remember – and to forget. To deploy an over-used metaphor, we are driving swiftly forward and not looking in the rear-view mirror!
The housing market had one of the top sales years this century, with a wave of buyers taking advantage of incredibly low interest rates and making offers above asking price just to get their hands on a home amid scarce inventory. It was a sellers’ dream scenario, and a true challenge for buyers to stand out from the competition.
I recently published a blog post that covers – in detail – all of the machinations of the housing environment as well as our economy and other aspects of life. I call the article “predictions and projections for the Seattle/King County area” – the third year in a row for my review and look-ahead.
