Introducing Community News & Information Site ‘Parkbench’ for Seattle Neighbors

I’m happy to share with you some exciting news: I have partnered with a large North America network of community websites to delivery helpful information and resources about Seattle for Seattle.

I am the proud sponsor and local ambassador for Parkbench.com’s community sites covering five neighborhoods in and around our city. Parkbench delivers a vast amount of local news, community events listings and more, supplemented by self-produced blog posts on real estate, Seattle happenings and interviews with community heroes such as small business owners and other local figures.

I believe people like me – a well-connected local real estate broker with John L. Scott – have a duty to share news and rich resources with his/her community. Sadly, hyperlocal information is difficult to find and traditional news outlets are lacking editorial resources to provide this type of detail about our neighborhoods.

That’s where Parkbench.com comes in. Parkbench and I believe local businesses are the key to building more vibrant communities in which people feel proud about where they live. Our mission is to support these business owners with free, local exposure – connecting them with you on a single platform.

The beauty of Parkbench is that everyone – small business owners, residents and others – can make contributions to the sites. Businesses can add their details to a directory (that currently includes more than 800 entries in our area) and post coupons/deals without a fee. In addition, residents can add details of a community event or even add news to the feed.

Plus, neighbors can subscribe to a free newsletter – delivered every Monday morning. The newsletter captures the previous 7 days’ top stories and interviews, as well as the latest coupons/deals and coming events.

It’s a community information-sharing hub and relationships builder. It’s Parkbench.com…and it’s ours!

Please invest in your community and be a Parkbench user. Thank you, neighbor.
