I love showing off “my Seattle” and after learning that a popular tourist attraction was offering unfettered access after-hours, well, I grabbed at the opportunity to share it with you.
Ask a random person to name a glass sculptor and I will bet most will say Dale Chihuly, the Tacoma-born glass-blower and artist extraordinaire who works here in Seattle.
Watch now as we go inside Chihuly Garden and Glass, opened in 2012 right next door to the Space Needle and featuring many hundreds of Chihuly’s works. His pieces are vibrant, massive, even playful at times, and always magnificent.
